Locus Robotics launches Locus Array, an autonomous picking robot for warehouses

On April 13, 2026, Locus Robotics launched Locus Array, which it describes as a new class of “Physical AI” for fully autonomous fulfillment. The system mounts an integrated robotic picking arm and an AI-powered vision system on an omnidirectional mobile base, letting a single unit handle picking, putaway, induction, slotting and replenishment on its own. Locus says the gripper can manage totes up to about 66 lbs, maneuver within centimeters of double-deep shelving up to ten feet high, and process roughly 60-70% of e-commerce SKUs, cutting manual labor by as much as 90%. Three Array units are already running in live operations at DHL Supply Chain’s Columbus, Ohio facility, and the product was demonstrated at MODEX in Atlanta.

Locus, whose robots have assisted in more than seven billion picks to date, positions Array as a fleet member coordinated by its LocusONE orchestration software alongside its existing mobile robots. For Ergonet, the launch is a useful signal of how machine vision and autonomous mobile robots are converging into a single fulfillment machine, a direction close to our own focus on Physical AI for logistics and commerce.
